For TUFH 2020 we are proud to announce the conference venue will be at The Palace of the School of Medicine located in the beautiful historic downtown of Mexico City. You can find many attractive hotels and hostels within walking distance of The Palace of the School of Medicine and you are free to book your rooms at the accommodation to your liking.

The Network: Towards Unity For Health (TUFH) and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) are recommending the following accommodations with discounted rates for TUFH2020 participants.The discounted rates are available for a certain period. Please book your accommodation before this deadline. Rooms are not blocked and subject to availability. So we encourage you to book as soon as possible to secure the room of your choice.

To be able to reserve a room, each guest must provide a credit card with the date of expiration. This information is requested as a guarantee of the reservation since the payment is made upon arrival at the Hotel. No charges will apply to the credit card upon reservation of the room.
Charges will only apply to the card in case of not presenting at the hotel on the reserved date or upon cancellation less than 3 days prior to the arrival date.

We’re a lively joint at Hostel Mundo Joven Catedral and the most visited in the city – want to know why? We’re fun, friendly and there are tons of freebies! Every day there’s a free breakfast and bargain-priced drinks in our Barpack bar. You can also grab a cocktail or a beer up on the rooftop terrace or get a bite to eat at our BBQ events. Join us on one of our off-the-tourist-path free walking tours (of markets and pulquerías) and get a taste of local culture on our renowned guacamole, tequila and salsa nights.

Our hostel is in the most secure area of downtown Mexico City. We’re just a 30-minute taxi drive from Mexico City International Airport or you can hop on bus line four for 35 minutes to República de Argentina – we’re a 7-minute walk away. A 2-minute walk from us you’ll find museums and the ancient Aztec Templo Mayor. For food and drink, take a 4-minute walk to main street, Calle Isabel la Católica, where there are lots of Mexican (and international) bars and restaurants.

Get to meet other backpackers in your shared mixed, male or female-only dorm. Each has self-lock lockers for backpacks and bunks with fresh sheets, a reading light and an electric socket for essential phone charging. If you’d like a bit more seclusion, book a private room – you’ll even get your own TV. Showers are hot 24/7, and come complete with fresh towels and body wash to keep you clean and dry.

We’re all about the social side of hostel life and have lots of communal areas to mix and mingle with other travellers. Acquaint yourself with the TV room to watch a DVD with a new buddy or get chatting in the kitchen as you cook up an easy feast. Don’t fancy the washing up?
