Registration Information

The Network: TUFH and UNAM are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The TUFH 2020 Conference is still planned to take place in Mexico City on September 22-25, 2020. 

In our commitment to be more Socially Accountable, registration fees for TUFH 2020 are set to better align with our mission which is reflective with our Membership fee model.

Registration will OPEN on November 15th, 2019. Prices are in US Dollars. (USD)

For the first time we are offering a SUPER EARLY BIRD discount for TUFH Members ONLY, this will be available until January 15th, 2020.
There will be an EARLY BIRD registration from January 16th, 2020 until April 15th, 2020.
Registrations will close August 30th, 2020.

In our continued efforts to enable students to participate at TUFH conferences, we have managed to reduce student registration fees considerably to help ease the financial burden and better align with our mission. The registration fees for students will remain low throughout the registration process. Student Members will continue to receive the Membership Discount.

The Main Registration covers the three days of the conference (September 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2020) and all Social Events.
At TUFH 2020 there will be a pre-conference Solutions Challenge on September 22nd, 2020. This Solutions Challenge is NOT included in the Main Registration and must be booked as a separate add-on ticket.

TUFH Members will need to register on the TUFH Online Community to receive their Membership Discount! TUFH Membership Discount can be combined with the Early Bird Discount.

Terms and Conditions

Acknowledgment of Registration
Your registration will be acknowledged via email with a confirmation of your booking, upon receipt of your completed registration form. All updates regarding the conference will be posted on the conference website: https://tufh2020.com/.

Each delegate will also receive a name badge upon arrival at the conference. The name badge will be your official pass and must be worn to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. Day registrants and partners will be added to guest lists for each additional event booked.

All conference and function payments must be paid in full prior to the conference. All registrations received after the 30th of August 2020 must be paid in full by credit card only. If payment is not received prior to the conference, access will not be granted. 
 

Cancellation Policy
The Network: TUFH incurs significant expenses before the event. Therefore we must maintain the following refund and cancellation policy:

The Organizing Committee will NOT refund any tickets paid for, except for exceptional reasons.
The Organizing Committee will review case by case if a refund is acceptable. A $90 administration fee plus bank commission will be deducted from all refunds!

Cancellations or refunds requested within 30 days of the event (September 22, 2020) will not be accepted for any reason, even if bought less than 30 days prior. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing to the conference secretariat at secretariat@thenetworktufh.org.

No-shows will not be refunded for any reason. No exceptions.
We do not give credit toward future conferences or other TUFH products.

Registrations are fully transferable. Exception: Scholarship registrations that are given to a specific person. To transfer a registration email secretariat@thenetworktufh.org with the following information about the new attendee: first name, last name, email address, country, organization, and dietary restrictions.

Privacy Policy
All relevant delegate details will be stored in a database used by The Network: TUFH to manage the registration process and conference organization. A list of delegate names and contact details will be retained by The Network: TUFH and will be used to send conference-related information. Delegate names and contact details will be supplied to UNAM, but will not be passed on or sold to any other organizations. For networking purposes, a delegate list will be provided to all conference delegates.

If you have an accepted abstract, you acknowledge and agree that The Network: TUFH, the organizing committee of this conference, and sponsors of this conference may edit and publish in any of their digital or printed communications or publications, including but not limited to, websites, social media outlets, newsletters, annual reports, and promotional materials;  the information provided including but not limited to the full abstract, your name, co-author information, pictures, and institutions. 

Delegate Release Agreement
I give my permission for photographs and other images or likenesses, statements whether oral or in writing, audio/ visual recordings (including transcripts) of me to be recorded, copied, edited, adapted, modified, exhibited and distributed for editorial, trade, advertising and training purposes.

I understand that The Network: TUFH may sublicence these rights for advertising, promotional and educational purposes. 

I will not receive any payment or consideration in signing this release. 

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. 

The insurance could also cover loss arising from the cancellation of the Conference by the organizers or a person’s inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. No responsibility is taken by the Conference Managers for any person not holding insurance.

Travel, Flight, and Accommodation
Registration fees do not include travel, flight, and accommodation of any kind.
Participants must book their own flight and accommodation, see https://tufh2020.com for more information.
The conference venue is walking distance from the suggested accommodations, no transfer is provided.  
Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the airport.

The Conference Managers are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any persons’ flights and/or accommodation.

Social events
By registering for TUFH 2020 you confirm your participation in ALL SOCIAL EVENTS:

  • Día de los Muertas Cultural Dinner & Dance, Wednesday 23rd September 2020
  • Conference on the Move, Thursday 24th September 2020

If you will not attend any of these sessions, you must inform the Organizing Committee at secretariat@thenetworktufh.org.

Confirmation Letter for Visa Application Purposes
You need to have paid in full for the conference registration to receive a confirmation letter for Visa Application purposes.

Once you have registered and paid in full for the conference, you can request a letter for VISA Application purposes from visatufh2020@facmed.unam.mx.

Solution Challenge (Pre-Conference Event)

There is a ticket for professionals and a ticket for students.

What is the Solutions Challenge? 

The Solutions Challenge taking place on Tuesday, September 22nd, will convene interdisciplinary thought leaders to share and design new ideas, approaches, and strategies leading to coordinated action around the globe. 
The Solutions Challenge will be a joint event with Professionals and Students. It will be hosted by TUFH, UNAM, and SNO.
